As wonderful as these popular places are, Tanzania has much more to offer than these well-known hotspots in the Northern Circuit. If you want to escape the crowd, head to the country’s little-visited yet stunning and wildlife-rich South – Eastern Circuit.

Safaris in Tanzania’s South – Eastern Circuit focuses on three main destinations Ruaha National Park, Mikumi National Park and Nyerere National Park. Although the three are quite remote, but they compete against Serengeti’s wildebeest migration and Ngorongoro’s throngs of animals. The South – Eastern Circuit may lack some of the prestige of its Northern counterpart, but it lacks none of the beauty. And the wildlife, although not always as easy to spot, is even more diverse and rewarding.
