Our Menu Dishes

Exposed Africa presents a list of food (Menu) options from which customers choose or may wish to select while on expeditions with us. Our menu reflects the quality of service and has been one of influencing factor for customer choice. We are able to cater all different meal arrangements including Traditional, vegetarian, Halal, Kosher and gluten-free meal plans at our clients’ request. Our chefs have been trained and gained skills from the best restaurant professionals to prepare every dish our clients may wish to enjoy.

Note: We advise our clients with any special diet requests to notify us in advance for such meal preparations during their confirmation.

Our traditional dish consists of fresh, roast and boiled kinds of different food choices like mashed potatoes, gravy, beans, corn, pumpkins, Banana and more of the like. The most popular food in Tanzania is Ugali which can be served with different kinds of sauce and Kachumbari (Swahili word which means Pickle). We call it Tanzania’s favourite and the most loved across the country. You will all love it when you visit Kilimanjaro and get exposed to MTORI for your breakfast (mashed bananas mixed with small meat slices and boiled soup) and MACHALARI for your lunch.

vegetarian diet dish includes a diverse mix of fruits, vegetables, grains, healthy fats and proteins. We replace the protein provided by meat in your diet, by including a variety of protein-rich plant foods like nuts, seeds, legumes, tempeh, tofu and seitan. Our vegetarian diets can promote weight loss because they focus on nutrient-dense, low-calorie foods. However, being vegetarian doesn’t automatically mean consuming fewer calories.

vegan diet contains only plants (such as vegetables, grains, nuts and fruits) and foods made from plants. Our Vegan list choices do not have a mix or inclusion of animal products. We seriously follow the same set of clear guidelines internationally.

Halal, (halaal) or Kosher (halakha) are religious words that translate to “permissible”. For Muslims and Jewish, the words halal and Kosher are weighed with INAPPROPRIATE or strictly Haram. Religiously we take “the five decisions” mandatory, recommended, neutral, reprehensible, and forbidden for our meal classifications to the dishes provided.

Our gluten-free menu options strictly exclude gluten. Some of our prepared meals are naturally gluten free and healthy, for example, sweet potatoes and apples. Other gluten-free foods are processed to remove gluten or processed without gluten-free containing ingredients but may still be high calorie, full of additives and low in fiber.
